A few words from our President, Chuck St. John
The holiday season is always a busy one, and it’s no less so for the Wenatchee Kennel Club as we look to next year’s activities. Opportunities abound for volunteering.
After a number of years as our Obedience and Rally Trials Chairman, Marilyn Gearhart has decided to retire/resign from that position. So we are in need of someone to step up and volunteer to chair one or the other or both events at our dog show. We can’t hold the event without a designated chairman. An ideal candidate is someone who has competed in the events and has some knowledge of how the events operate…though we all start at the beginning sometime. If you are curious about the responsibilities, contact Marilyn or myself. We’ll be glad to fill you in.
Right after the first of the year we’ll be finalizing our panel of judges for the dog show along with Obedience and Rally. If you have judges you would like to suggest that we hire (or don’t hire) please let Vicky Anderson or me know. If you’d like to be part of the process, also contact us. It’s an interesting process to put together the final slate of judges for the show and trials.
And remember to get your information to Alicia Sehorn for the title awards we give at the annual dinner. She’s on school break now, so it’s a great time for her to get the order together…let’s help her in her volunteer effort. She needs the information before January 10th to get everything in production with the trophy company.
And most importantly…Merry Christmas!
See you at the Club,
Chuck St. John, President
