The Wenatchee Kennel Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent established by the IRS.

The Wenatchee Kennel Club is a vibrant organization that provides valuable services to the community by training handlers and their dogs while also providing great exercise and a wide range of competitions and services.   The club’s success is the result of the generous donations of time and talents of our instructors, event volunteers, committees, board members, and monetary donations. There may be income tax advantages for monetary donations due to our 501(c)(3) status.

Donation Options

Did you know that donations to our non-profit Club may give you a charitable deduction on your tax return?

Did you know that donations of any size are much appreciated?

Did you know that you have a say in where your gift is spent?

There are three buckets of money that you can choose to donate to.

🔹Unrestricted Giving
Donations may be used where the need is the most and for any purpose. Unrestricted donations gives our Club’s board the most flexibility in expending funds.

🔹Building Fund Expansion
Donations to this fund will be set aside and only used for future building expansion. Monies in this fund will be used towards Phase II of our building plan - adding a 4,400 sq ft addition to our existing building to the East. Phase II will almost double our existing indoor, climate-controlled training area. Monies in this fund will also be used to make any infrastructure upgrades (such as installing sidewalks) as may be required by the city/county in the future.

🔹Building & Grounds Enhancements
Donations to this fund will be set aside and only used for building & grounds enhancements. An example of a recently completed enhancement is our beautiful new building sign! A short list of some potential future enhancement projects may include (but is not limited to): a pergola, additional storage sheds or additional security cameras.

Thanks to the donations of generous individuals and organizations, Phase I and IB are complete! - On to Phase II

Tribute Bench

Tribute Benches are available for donations of $5,000 or more.  The Have a Seat! fundraiser was inspired by the $31,000+ donation from the Linda Potts estate.  Her estate executors requested a tribute bench and worked with WKC fundraisers to choose plaque wording.

To order a Tribute Bench contact Tami Woolsey, 509-860-9349, or Helen Njus, 509-630-8530.  Tribute Benches will be ordered from PremierPolysteel.  The bench location will be determined cooperatively.

Tribute Plaque

If you donate at least $250 to Wenatchee Kennel Club, you can choose to have a tribute plaque made to honor and remember special people or pets. The plaque will be displayed on our outdoor fencing and all will be reminded of the people or pets who have been significant in your life. You can choose the text for your plaque.

FRED MEYER COMMUNITY REWARDS

Fred Meyer will donate a portion of your purchases to WKC through its Fred Meyer Community Rewards (FMCR) program.  To link us with this, you must do the following:
        1.  Obtain a Fred Meyer Rewards Card. Applications are available at any Fred Meyer (or QFC) service desk.
        2.  Go online to www.fredmeyer.com and scroll down to COMMUNITY. Click on Community Rewards, then scroll down to Re-enroll or link your Rewards Card now.
        3.  Open a Fred Meyer account, then pick Wenatchee Kennel Club as your nonprofit.

Participation in the FMCR program DOES NOT affect the benefits you get from your Rewards Card. You will still earn your points and receive discounts on gas, etc.

If you have more than one Rewards Card in a household, you cannot choose more than one nonprofit because all the cards in a house are linked to one address.

AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS

If you would like to make regular automatic payments to the Wenatchee Kennel Club, you can set this up through your bank or credit union online billing program. If this option interests you, please contact your financial institution.
